Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Lucky lad - two instructors to himself all week for the price of a group lesson.

In Sweden the other week my friends lad was the only one booked in to the group for lessons. So... not only did he have the instructor to himself he had an additional second instructor who had moved from Spain and was learning the ropes. And as he speaks fluent Swedish the instructors were keen to practice their English with him. Very cost effective Laughing

Sleipnir, It was in Åre. Very nice resort - I gave a brief review in http://snowheads.com/ski-forum/viewtopic.php?p=862420&highlight=#862420

Scarpa, glad that you enjoyed Åre - I've heard lots of good things about it. They held the World Champs there last year didn't they so they would have been very geared up when it comes to everything being in place. But then again that's very much the Swedish way, but you'll already know that!

Surprises me that Mr Kamprad and IKEA haven't exploited the whole winter sports arena. But then again you'd end up having to build your own bindings and there's bound to be a screw or allen key missing Very Happy

I have to admit that I do have a real soft spot for Sweden and the Swedes......must have been due to the days when I was a lad and the blonde from ABBA was always on Top of The Pops Shocked

Our son had a similar for most days two weeks ago in Silver Star, Canada. He was the only one in their "Junior Hot Shots" for 3 days, which was good value for us but he didn't get the interaction with other kids which he did on the other days.

On the final day they said he was too good for the JHS session and put him in the older kids' "High Flyers" instead. The following week (at Big White), he did the High Flyers all week - despite being offficially too young rolling eyes - and there were only 3 or 4 of them all week: an excellent size for a kids group.

Sleipnir, I think you are doing Ikea an injustice; I have to say that I have always had all the bits, unlike flatpacks from MFI and others! Build your own log cabin?? RobW, that sounds like a terrific week for your son.

Yes, in truth I am. Their stuff is very good, especially the scrummy food wink

Build my own log cabin?........don't tempt me - I'd love to do that - in Sweden, by a lake, surrounded by forest (but close to some skiing)......heaven on earth!! Very Happy Very Happy
