Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Canadian skier Vincent Lavoie suffered leg injury at Super G in Lake Louise. Lavoie was the second skier down the run was unbalanced and fell on a jump colliding with a gate as he stopped. Early indications are a broken leg.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Russell, I watched it and it certainly looked broken - just below the knee. Horrible Crying or Very sad

On a brighter note, Bode does it again Very Happy (yep, I'm a big, big fan....)

As Hannou pointed out on Saturday after the downhill, ref Bode and Deneriaz.... "I've touched both of them!" The innocence of youth... (He's a tall guy, Deneriaz - he's half crouching down in that photo...)

Watching the super G yesterday, you've got to admire these racers in the speed events, when you see just how close to the limit they are skiing. The strength it takes to hold form and ski the perfect line at 80 mph + is phenomenal, and the women aren't far off that either in the downhill.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

The speeds are incredible more so in the super G where they have more gates I was surprised that they had 3 jumps on the run in the super G

I was also surprised at the time it took for medics to reach Vincent Lavoie he seemed to be lying on the snow for a while before medics got to him.
