When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ski resort to host golf tournament in snow

An Italian ski resort is holding a charity golf tournament at 1,600m. Contestants will use brightly coloured orange balls on a specially-built nine hole course. And, despite weather conditions that might cause balls to disappear in a metre of deep snow, the players will still be expected to play by St Andrew's rules.

...The competition will take place at the Rein resort in Taufers on February 23.

Snow and natural ice are considered to be either casual water or loose impediments at the option of the player and as a result relief may be taken in accordance with the rules.
