Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

ATM's Banff

Just a head's up when travelling to Banff - Just got back after a great week away - I did not take any currency as I was going to use the cash machine to withdraw money over their, I even opened a nationwide account so that I could withdraw without incurring any fees.
Only problem I found was non of the machines I found took Visa to withdraw cash, It was not a major issue as I have a maestro card that worked ok, one of our party only had visa and ended up paying for the food on a night out and we'd pay him back our share in cash.

bluestar-ale,I don't remember having that problem, and we would have only had a Visa delta card, but it may have been the last holiday we took travellers cheques with us.

non of the ATM's we saw in Banff accepted Visa, either credit or debit cards - Maestro worked ok

bluestar-ale, perhaps we didn't withdraw any cash then. I'm sure we would have done though, and would remember not being able to.

I used my Nationwide Visa Debit card in Banff at the ATM's, there was a bank down the road from the "Rose & Crown" Pub that I used and it worked fine, cant remember having any problems with the ATMs, this was December 2006.
