Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I can pick you up if you get really stuck and there aren't too many of you.

The bus only runs limited hours IIRC.

Try phoning these guys? http://www.altitude-espace-taxi.com/

To be honest its so easy to get the scheduled service especially when the snow train comes in.

You can pre book it and just have to show your confirmation email as proof of purchase.

You can get the booking details via Tignes.net Very Happy

Except the scheduled services are geared up for when the French scheduled trains arrive, not the UK snowtrain - train via Paris Gare du Nord arrives 08:44, next bus 11:30. rolling eyes

The Tignes.net website is quite unwieldy and has several dead links, but http://tignes.net/GB_acces-plan-station.html has a list of various taxi firms with transfers from Bourg to Tignes starting at €68. Don't use their link for Autocars Martin (the buses), use http://www.autocars-martin.com/ and that site works better in French as when they go to English they mix up American & European date formats.

Does anyone have a taxi firm they recommend?

I'm doing Bourg to Tignes on 7th March, and back on 14th March. If we go down the taxi route I'll post here to let you know how we get on.

Thanks Alpaka, I see on the tignes.net link that Yves has an email address as well. At the moment I'm waiting to see what our accommodation TO can come up with, but taxi looks undaunting.

BTW, we're planning on being in the Alpaka most (if not all) evenings, meeting up with our Ski Club friends, so see you then.
