Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Morzine 16-23 February: Ski partner/guide?

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hello Snowheads... I am an American (Bush hater!) and coming to ski in Morzine with my wife and 10 year old daughter. (It's to celebrate my 50th b-day!) I'm looking for someone to ski with who may be familiar with the off-piste (or willing to explore). I've tried all the guide services, but they seem to be booked. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

PS- I hail from a "sister" forum in the US: http://www.tetongravity.com/forums/index.php

Welcome to snowHeads BigDaddy. Your difficulty is that you're arriving in UK mid-term break - so things will be pretty booked up.

Who have you tried for guiding? I might be able to suggest some places to try.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks Phillip. I've tried ESF, The Snow School, Easy2Ride, etc. I had contacted people months ago, but only recieved a vague, then no reply. I understand that is a busy period, but I'm still hoping. Any ideas you have would be great. Thanks again!

BigDaddy, Try the ski schools in Avoriaz and Montriond they have some availability in the afternoons that week - or did yesterday! Also the skiing off-piste at the moment is hard (snow not difficulty) but they are saying we may have snow this weekend early next week. If you have a look at our site there are links to lots of the ski schools.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Thanks S&T. I've been "investigating" many avenues and found lots of helpful info on your site. I only wish we were skiing for more than one week! So many mountains, so little time! I see it's been clear and mild the last week, so snow has to be around the corner, right? Our timing may actually be good for once! (Anti-jinx)
