A group of nine, four boarders, five skiers, mixed ability from just-above-beginner to a loon who likes the snow park. We're after chalet board on 8 March for a week. Should have some nightlife, though thump-thump music until 4am isn't a requirement, but might be desirable.

serre chevalier 1350/1400- check out hotels? On seconds thoughts that's more people on the slopes when I'm there 
how about some of the austrian resorts Ischgl seems reccomended but prob hotels rather than chalets.

Sorted. Val d'Isere for all nine of us. We've ended up with self-catering in La Daille which suits the majority of us. Still, at £300 for flights, transfers and RO there's plenty left for eating out.
I just need to find some ski trousers to match my jacket and gloves now ...
