Hi,
I am going to Gulmarg, India for the '07/08 season and am posting the url for my blogspot Gulmarg '07/08 - Snowboarding in Kashmir for anyone else considering this trip. At this point it contains useful links to sources for information and travel to share. Later, the blog will become the trip report.
Also, I'm still looking to meet other riders/skiers from any hemisphere that will be in Gulmarg this winter. Pray for Snow!

Hey,
I just got back from India, and had a great time. J&K is definitely an unusual place! Danger is possible, but definitely overblown. I experienced absolutely NO threat to health and safety, nor did anyone (tourists) I spoke to. Maybe the experience is different for residents.
I have been posting a blog about this trip which is primarily focussed on J&K, Gulmarg in particular, which you might find interesting, and others might find helpful if planning a trip to this region. Check the many links enclosed for articles outside the blog.
Also: The most recent photographs, blogs, etc., are included, so there is a lot of fairly current information. I can fully recommend the most recent trip reports submitted to TGR by mc_roon - they are very good! Here are the links below:
