Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Morgenstern’s 8th World Cup victory this season

Thomas Morgenstern (Austria) won the World Cup ski jump event in Okurayama (Japan) today, making it his eighth victory of the season. After a first jump of 125.5m on the Okurayama large hill, Morgenstern nailed the longest jump of the meet at 131.5m and finished with 261.6 points.
...Janne Happonen (Finland) was 2nd with 249.9 points, and Martin Koch (Austria) was 3rd with 249.3.

Morgenstern still leads the overall World Cup standings and now has a total of 1,355 points. Janne Ahonen (Finland), who did not take part in the event today, is 2nd with 845 points, followed by Gregor Schlierenzauer (Austria) with 839.
