Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ski Bus from Andorra La Vella

Hi All.

We're going to Andorra in the Feb half-term. Our plan is to stay in Crowne Plaza in La Vella. Is it realistic to go every morning to the lifts (the closest one, as I understand is funicamp)? Btw, are there some kinds of ski-bus or we need to use regular buses?
And how far is the bus stop from the above Crowne Plaza?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

There is a bus station in the town run by NOVATEL or NOVOTEL (I think) - give them a Google, this definately has a link from Barcelona Airport, not sure about ski buses from here though - the easier option would be to drive yourself ......... Arinsal is only 20 minutes from Andorra La Velle - hope that helps.

Habashan,

Have stayed in both Soldeu and Arinsal before, didn't need to use the buses generally apart from one time. We ended up in El Tarter at the closing of the pistes and couldn't ski back to Soldeu. We waited for over an hour for a bus and eventually one of our party drove to collect us.

I don't think that the ski bus service in Andorra is that reliable. You do see buses from time to time but.............. Certainly, if you find one that suits you for morning and evening runs to and from the resort, make sure you get it as the next bus may be a long wait.

The bus service is reliable and easy to use- if I can do it ( and i hate the peasant wagon) anyone can. You can get buses from Andorra La Vella to ALL ski resorts- Funicamp at La Massana is probably the easiest and quickest to get to adn from there you can ski Pal and Arinsal, or get the bus to Arcalis, if the snow is good have a day there at least!
