Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I'm really liking the look of these Quiksilver helmets (specifically the Quiksilver Strike):

i cannot find one in any of my local places so am going to be ordering online... but does anyone have any experience of quiksilver helmets in terms of comfort etc?

retail for £65, not sure what you think of that price but seems ok to me when compared agains salomon/red/carrera etc?

SooTyLaD,

I do not have "Quicksilver" specific knowledge, but from personal experience, I would not recommend buying helmets without trying them on....
Unless you don't mind risking the hassle of having to send it back...

SooTyLaD, Having just bought a helmet (Pro tec B2 Snow) I would not buy a helmet online without having tried it on beforehand even within the same manufacturers I found different styles are different shapes and didn't always fit my head, and you could not guarantee a good fit. If you are going to spend the money get one that fits rather than what you like the look of. Iits definetly Function over form on this piece of kit. It must be the year of the helmet as half the discussions on here are on the subject Happy Shopping - If you are near one try one of these designer outlet villages Bought mine for £20 having been to S&R the previous day who had v.limited sizes. Very Happy
