Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

This week North America continues to benefit from huge dumps of snow, meaning insane powder conditions on and off the pistes, as Europe holds up well during the warmer weather
, with the possibility of some new snow to come with the colder weather at the weekend... which would also have the added bonus of refreshing conditions in Scotland.
In France the piste skiing is holding up to the springlike temperatures well and this week has generally seen skiing in warmer weather under blues skies.
La Plagne
and
Les Arcs
are still good, and there is some powder to be found off piste and amongst the trees. Elsewhere in France things are much the same with
Tignes
and
Val d'Isere
holding up well, in anticipation of the World Cup circus visiting the area this weekend. There's also plenty of fun to be had in
Val Thorens
and the rest of the
Three Valleys
although some of the lower slopes are a tad slushy.
Avoriaz
,
Les Deux Alpes
, and
Serre Chevalier
are all holding
up with varying degrees of success. As ever some of the best pictures are coming from
Chamonix
although the best skiing is on the upper slopes.
Austria
, has had a little more snow this week, making for good conditions higher up, and the lower slopes are wearing well despite this snow falling as rain at lower elevations.
Schladming
, and
St Anton
remain good.
The
Swiss
resorts are starting to get a little patchy lower down and are about due for a refresh, the pick of the bunch would seem to be
Zermatt
which is skiing reasonably well all the way down to resort level.
Both
Laax
, and
Gstaad
are less than perfect lower down, fortunately some new snow may well be on the way.
The pistes in
Courmayeur
are apparently in really good condition as are
Livigno
and
the Dolomites
.
In North America both
Tahoe
and
Fernie
have had a deluge of snow as apparently has had Aspen.
And finally spare a thought for poor old
Mike Pow
struggling under 241cm of new snow in Niseko, Japan, 40cm of which have been in the past 24 hours.
Discussion as to what the future may hold continues
here
.
As always thanks to all those who've contributed pictures and snow reports, we couldn't do it without you. Any queries or corrections please feel free to start a thread in
