Poster: A snowHead

I brought a new pair of Head 11 boots at the ski show form Ellis Brigham this with custom footbeds, I brought new boots as I was finding my old head 10.8 a bit too roomy and I found that they I had a lot of flex in them as well as lots of ankle movement. Talked this over with the boot fitter and was given the head 11. I was fitted with a size 28 previous boots from snow and rock 31.
My right foot is fine no problems, but having problems with my left foot, have not skied on them yet just wearing round the house, but the toes on my left foot appear to hurt. The problem is it is not every time I put the boots on.
My question is can boots be stretched at the toes, do I need it as it is not every time I put the boots that it hurts. Or do I go back to my old boots and which are pain free but feel very roomy when I ski. Or put and shut up for my first week of skiing then see about getting them looked at.

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

jtobin03, The problem may lie in how you put the boots on. I use this routine, foot in, do up 2 top clips fairly loosely, flex boots 2-3 times to locate heel in back of boots, do up top power strap, do up top 2 clips to normal tightness, do up bottom clips, recheck power strap. It's really important to locate the foot correctly in the boots before you do them up tightly.

The answer is your toes are suppose to be touching the front when you are standing or sitting. When you flex your toes should move away from the front. It is also possible to trim the linner slightly to give you more room or blow the shell out a little. I do not think you want to ski with plenty room for your feet to move around. Just my thoughts. Good luck.

jtobin03, Also if the boots have heat moulded liners you could redo then but wear toe caps whilst moulding to give a little extra space.

Prob same as me, I have a bigger left foot. It'll go away as guy above says.. Mine does. Don't forget if your house is quite warm your feet will swell, cooler conditions they go down.

Went to EB today they told me not to worry too much just ski then come back. Turns out that I was wearing them for too long in the house at one time, was doing about 50mins. Reason it was so long is that how long it takes me to iron. (Standing up forward pressure as close to skiing position I get while doing something useful)
