Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Super G results from Cortina d’Ampezzo

Austria's Maria Holaus had her first World Cup victory of the season in the Super G in Cortina d'Ampezzo on Sunday. Her time was 1:24.63. Julia Mancuso (US) came 2nd and was 0.23 seconds behind, while Nicole Hosp (Austria) was 3rd, 0.28 seconds back. Today, Germany’s Maria Riesch won her first World Cup race of the season in the Super G held to replace the one cancelled in Aspen in December. Her time was 1:25.73. Elisabeth Goerg (Austria) came 2nd and was 0.04 seconds behind, while her team mate Renate Goetschl was 0.20 seconds back in 3rd place....Chemmy Alcott came 36th out of 51 in the first Super G and 27th out of 41 in the second.

Maria Riesch (Germany) is currently number 1 in the Super G rankings, Anja Paerson (Sweden) is number 2 and Julia Mancuso (US) is number 3.
