Poster: A snowHead

Hi All, can anyone recommend a good boot fitter in the north west, ideally somewhere near Manchester. My wife has odd shaped feet and we could really do with get her boots adjusted before the annual moanfest starts!!!
thanks
Mr Ted

mr ted, I recently bought boots from Ellis Brigham in Castlefield, Manchester. After a previous bad experience with boot fitting, I found EB very good. A young lad called Jake looked after me. I have wide feet and the initial fitting took over 3 hours and included trying several brands/models of boots footbed moulding, and stretching/widening of the boots chosen as being the best fit without modification. I then went back a week or so later and had them stretched again. I wore them for the first time skiing last weekend and they were the most comfortable boots I have ever worn!

mr ted, Depending where you are located either head south to CEM or Lockwoods, or north to Anything Technical in Kendal.

As with Jo66, I have nothing but praise for EB at Castlefield. I went back with my boots 18 months after buying them because my feet had changed and they altered them free of charge.
