Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Too short for you. IMO.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

My reasoning being thus-
There's no point in buying Missions unless you want to go off piste. If you do, then being quite a well built chap, you'll need the 183s to give some decent float in deeper snow. If you don't then don't bother buying missions, and go for a piste ski.

Despite whether you should buy them or not, unless the ski is trashed £250 has to be a pretty good deal, no?
New I would expect to pay closer to £500 for ski + fixation???

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Kramer, I have piste skis they are 176-
will 5cm make that big a difference? I tested the 183's at breahead at the ski test and liked them:
"Scott Mission 183: This was the longest (and widest full length) ski I have skied since I started skiing again 18 months ago ( I used to ski 185 in the early 90’s and tried 100mm+ Icelantic boards at the EoSB). They were very cruisey - big wide sweeping turns. I tried shorter turns and the ski would do it but I don’t think it’s what the ski is made for. "
I could think of other things to spend £250 on but they caught my eye today

II, I think that you'd find the 176s too short off piste. On piste, skiing a ski a little on the short side doesn't matter, but off piste it does make a difference IMO.

I'd say £250 for ex-demo and not necessarily the right size is a bit pricey.
You could probably pick up something new on a ski-bilek ebay auction for about that (apparently some Blizzard Titan Arqos with Dukes went for about £270 the other day)

I agree with Arno, good price if they are what you want/need but not so great if they a re make-do

Have the Missions changed this year (apart from the graphic) ?
If not, last year's 183s available here for €359.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

You know it makes sense.

I agree with Kramer. I'd say you should be looking bigger. What sizes do they do beyond 183?
