Britain’s Jenny Jones won today’s Burton’s European Open 2008 Slopestyle semi-finals in Laax (Switzerland). She beat 21 riders, including Jamie Anderson (US). Jones is now ranked number 1 in the TTR rankings. She, and seven others, made it into the finals, which will take place tomorrow. ...In the men’s competition, Shaun White (US) won again. The men’s final will have 16 competitors in all.

I'd guess that the ranking is based on a number of results, and that 2nd was enough to hold off the competition?
