Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Arc 1950 - Childcare

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi there,

Wonder if anyone has used the childcare facilities in Arc 1950?

We're off on Saturday (WOW conditions Very Happy ), with 3 kids, 12, 5 and 2. 12 and 5 year old will be having morning lessons, and the 2 year old was supposed to be looked after by grandmother, who now can't come.

Would be great if anyone has any feedback at all....probably not a great option to use childcare in any other of the Arc villages, as it would mean a lot of ferrying around.

Appreciate anyone's help.

Thanx Neil

neilkav,

Couple of options. Haven't used either but it is still quiet season so I am sure there are spots available

We have used Cariboo club at 1950 last year for daughter, age 9. We actually used them to pick up from ski school, feed her lunch then collect at 2pm, rather than creche all morning. That way not rushing to get back to pick up from ski school. Worked well. She seemed happy, plenty of activities.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

We have been to austria once where a uk family used a well known (pink and blue) tour operator for childcare even though they travelled independantly. Might be worth ringing and checking?
