Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Gloves for Small Child

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
My five year old is learning to use the poma without assistance and his instructor thinks it would be easier for him if he wore gloves rather than mits. Problem is, as I've mentioned before, he is very small for his age. He wears age3 clothes generally and they are not neat on him. His fingertips don't reach the edge of the fingers in the smallest gloves I could find in Tiso, and Great Little Traiding Co only have girls gloves left in small. Anyone suggest anywhere I could try?

ickabodblue, if the gloves are too large, he will struggle to use the poma anyway. You'll be lucky to find any small enough.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

ickabodblue, I don't see why he needs gloves to use the poma?

I can't really see a benefit in getting really young kids to wear gloves, for a start they are normally colder. And as an instructor it's a nightmare trying to help a small child get gloves as opposed to mits back on, as they can struggle to get their fingers in the right holes...

beanie1, When he was pulling the button down to put in between his legs it seemed to slip out of his fingers and the instructor thought he might get a better grip with gloves.
