hobbiteater, We had chocolate in our back packs last week in freezing cold conditions and snow and it wasn't frozen. However Mrsfatcontroller did decide on Cadbury Twirls which are not the best as they crumble. Solid dairy milk next time.

thefatcontroller, the Chocolate will be fine but what about the creme?
Lion bars are good in freezing temps.

Charlatanefc, I take kitkat and mars minis for the children - both seem OK in a rucksack - I personally have a thing about a cadbury boost though - delicious!! I think chocolate is always a good thing to take with you.

NickB,
Hobbit are just the staple diet.
Crunchyness depends greatly on the preparation - best of course is al dente...

........and I thought this was one of those "how do you eat yours?" discussions!

I always freeze Creme Eggs before I eat them.
It then takes ages to nibble through end chocolate - like it did when you were a kid.
And the creme inner bit goes nice and chewy!

THE best choccy for the Slopes is Lidl's Coffe & Cream dark & white chocolate bar. A good shot of caffeine and suger in one. High cocoa content too. All of Lidl's chocolate is WAY better quality than any of the usual suspects imo. Ooh, I'm hungry now - pass the goji berries!
