Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I'm trying to figure out how much cash to bring on my 1 week hol to Alpe D'huez...

I'm looking to eat lunch at some decent mountain restaurants (I'm not after burger and chips)

Has anyone got any recommendations (please also include apprx cost per meal per person if you can!)

Thanks.

Mountain Restaurants in Alpe D'huez? Er, no.

To be fair, there's a decent rustic restaurant under the Marmottes gondola. Best when the weather's bad - it's quiet and feels very remote.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

failing that lots of restaturants now take this amazing thing called credit cards - it's like money but pretend..

I would esitimate 20 euro for a main course and a drink and that should be ok ballpark wise..

15-20 euros main course, 4 euros glass of wine, 8 euros dessert. 3 euros coffee.

I would highly recommend the Chalet du Lac Besson, rated as one of the ten best mountain restaurants in the Alps (and the journalist that said that - Peter Hardy - paid for his own meal).

You may want to book for the lac Besson.

There is a new restaurant on the Sarenne but I've not tried it yet.
