Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Les Arcs 2000 lessons

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
We are going to Arcs 2000 on family trip Easter 08. My boys (17 & 18 know the area and neither want or need instruction.)

My wife however is a nervous intermediate skier, she has had several weeks of ESF group lessons. I personally believe that she is no longer benifitting from these group lessons and should take some private lessons. I (unlike my children) think that I also could benefit from a private lesson or two.

With this in mind can anyone recommend a private ski school/personal instructor in Les arcs who would be able to give myself and my wife private lessons (bearing in mind we ski at different levels) I would want the lessons based on my wifes ability with me tagging along for a few tips.

Never had private lessons, but would a couple of private lessons (2 x 2 hour) be more beneficial than a week of group lessons !!

Yes the private lessons will definitely benefit you much much more than group lessons.

I will have word with a few people I know see if can find someone to help you.

If it's private lessons that you are after and are happy to scoot across to Vallandry you could try New Generation. It's a small British ski school and I'm sure you'd get great instruction. If you are interested I can PM you the email for the guy who runs that particular branch of New gen so you can discuss requirements with him.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Wow they look a bit pricey rob@rar, 159 euro for a 2hour lesson. I have looked at the Les arcs website and I have emailed 'Privilege Ecole de ski' . They have come back very promptly and quoted 80 euro for each 2 hour lesson (10-12) for 2 people and what's more they come to us.

I think this is reasonable, but has anyone any experience of this outfit, i.e. are they any good.
