Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hire Alternatives to Atomic Metron 9's

Hi guys,

Going to Courchevel 1650 in a week and I thought I’d do the 2 for 1 deal at Ski Republic!

I was on a Atomic Bootcamp a few moths ago and really really loved the Metron 9's (i nearly borough some but though better of it!). I would like a ski like this for my Courchevel trip, what would you recommend from the ski republic range? I ski on pist, mostly on red runs and I’d class my self as an intermediate, and I’m just starting to get the hang of carving.

Also, are ski republic ok to hire from?

Cheers guys!

mf-racing, Dynastar Contact 9 or 10's depending on your weight - the shop will advise you. I was in 1650 over Christmas & a couple in the Chalet were also on Ski Republic's 2 for 1 deal & they skis they were on were brand new for this season. Not sure if they delivered/collected the skis though as they're in 1850 which would be a pain if you've got to collect & return. although the bus service is great.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I've been told the Fischer RX 8's are very similar to the metron 9's in terms of level ability, but the fishers are way more forgiving! I've ended up buying the Fischer's as I don't fancy getting punished by the Metrons for lazy skiing if I've got a hangover!
So anyway, I'd recommend you try the Fischer RX 8's! (their edges also grip on ice really nicely!)

Ah, just seen that Fischer isn't an option on ski republic! oh well.

There is a separate Ski Republic shop in 1650, so no need to go to 1850, though it is not very close to the lifts.

benzanna3, RX8 beats the Metron 9 in so many ways it's almost unspeakable.
