Poster: A snowHead

Have never seen it before but yesterday on a quick day trip saw a complete circle rainbow reflecting off the top of the mist just below me, and my shadow bouncing up and down as I turned. Only saw it for a few seconds but was an amazing sight.
Coolest part of a very cool day

I saw it in the Cairngorms when I was about 8 years old. No one believed me

Gilberts Fridge, the rainbow effect is called a glory, your shadow is a Brocken spectre, I've seen them a few times in the mountains, also looking down onto the cloud from a plane.

I really was taken away by how good it looked, brought a huge smile to my face and capped an excellent day out(TR to follow when I get more time). The picture is excellent brian, just how I saw it apart from yesterday being brighter.
