Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I am just really posting this so that anyone searching the site in future can find this.

Wildernest Sports - Teton Village - been there for years, and the same zoo seem to be there each time we go in. Patient, caring, recommended by other local shops. One team member specialises in hand ground/made insoles, but you may need to book appointments a week in advance at busy times for that. Other cork ones done too.

Ok thats all - move along. Nothing more to see.

Helen LS, Pretty good. But long time till you go...

I am not sure which retailers run demo schemes, I suspect most would. Usual caveat - only demo skis they have in stock for sale at your length. Shops at the base of the hill - Wildernest, Teton Village Sports (bigger range?), Jack Dennis (probably the least useful), Pepi Stiegler (good if you are staying at Inn at Jackson Hole or Teton Mountain Lodge), or the resorts own hire shop in the Bridger Centre - closest the slopes. The latter also has a 10$ an hour demo set up in their small shop at the TOP of the Bridger Gondola, which will allow you to ski the Gondola with a different pair of skis each time. although a slightly limited range.

In town Hoback sports rent out skis, and you can get cheap deals sometimes on purchase - usually last years models at Sports Authority. Both close to the lights between Pearl and Wy22.

Presidents weekend - 15-18th feb (?) may be quite busy. Skinny skis (in town) which mainly sells gear for cross-country/AT/Tele had a great sale with ? 20% off everything there last year...

Have fun!
