Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Equipment hire. St Martin De Belleville. 2 days. EEK!

Hi all,

My first thread, so go easy on me Wink

Just a bit of advice required on the rental side of things as I'm going to St Martin De Belleville this Saturday and havn't yet sorted out my equipment hire. I've had a quick look on the net and it seems some shops have 'online' prices advertised that are anywhere up to 50 Euros cheaper (for the lot) but I'm worried as it's only 2 days away that I have left it too late to do this?

I've only been skiing once before, (last year in Livigno, Italy) and I went with an operator so got my equipment through them. This time round I've no idea what I’m doing! If I can pre-order online do I get a printed receipt or something that I take with me? There’s obviously no time for anything to be posted my way. Or am I best off strolling into a hire shop when I get there and hopefully not having to pay too much!

Thanks in advance,

C.man

I always order on line when hiring, it's considerably cheaper. IIRC you just go in to the shop with the same CC that you paid or reserved with on line.

DON'T just stroll in to the shop, it will cost you probably 30 - 50% more than buying on line.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

In that case I'll sort out paying for it online before I go.

Any reccomendations for a hire shop in St Martins?

There's one at the bottom of the slope, but I can't remember the name, sorry.
