Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Grenoble car hire in April

Ok, got the SleazyJet flights booked, land at around 20.00.

I've done a search on here and found that Holiday Autos seem to be highly recommened, but they are not showing any avaliablility at all - I guess because we arrive at 20.00 on a Saturday. Hertz seem to quoting a reasonable deal - ca. £215 for a Zafira size (4 adults and 1 child).

Any other thoughts or suggestions?

I've just booked car hire from grenoble thru Carhire3000 by ringing them up - seemed as cheap as anywhere else

IMT, the strange thing I found with Holiday Autos is the time they say they are open for collection. I'm arriving at Grenoble at ~15:00, so wanted the car for ~15:30. If I put in 15:30 as the hire time nothing comes up. If I put in 15:00 I can book a car. So that's what I did. When I got the confirmation the car is being hired from Europcar. I checked their website for the Grenoble office, and that says they are open from 08:00-23:00 (23:00-07:00 is still possible as out of hours). Strange....
