When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Austria's Michael Walchhofer came 1st in the Val Gardena (Italy) Downhill on Saturday, claiming victory in 1:56.70. He beat Switzerland's Didier Cuche by 0.18sec. American Scott MacCartney came 3rd, 0.56 seconds behind.
...Today, Kalle Palander (Finland) won the Giant Slalom at Alta Badia (Italy) with a two-run combined time of 2:30.92. Benjamin Raich (Austria) finished 2nd, 0.42 seconds behind. Marc Berthod (Switzerland) was 3rd, 0.45 seconds back.
