Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

The Australian who was charged with third-degree assault for throwing a snowball at a co-worker in the US state of Colorado has been let off the hook.
Mr Thistleton, 21, faced up to two years' jail over assault and harassment charges after hitting fellow ski rental shop worker Michelle Oehlert on the back with the snowball last February, when both were working at the Copper Mountain Ski Resort. But yesterday, the District Attorney who had originally brought the charges against him dismissed the case in "the best interest of justice"....Thistleton expressed his disbelief that the harmless snowball throw had gone so far, and reportedly said that he was disappponted in the District Attorney for pursuing it, doubting he would have faced charges if he'd done the same thing at an Australian ski resort.
Mr Thistleton pleaded not guilty in July and flew back to Colorado for the trial with his mother, Dr Kim Anderson.
Dr Anderson had earlier said her son refused a plea bargain and instead insisted on a trial to clear his name. She said it was a matter of principle. Thislteton estimated that his mother spent $20,000 to fund the case.

el Hen
, A victory for common sense, should never have got this far.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

He was lucky! If he'd done that in Turkey he would have probably ended up in prison for eight months awaiting
trial
on a rape charge!
He's been let out now by the way. Seems like the Turks are not sure whether the girl's story isn't a figment of her mothers fevered imagination
