Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Courmayeur to Chamonix

 Poster: A snowHead

Hi. Can anyone recommend a company/bus service that runs through the tunnel. I will be looking to travel from Courmayeur to Chamonix at the end of February and was hoping for a reasonably cheap transfer through. Thanks all.

The Chamonix Tourist office has always run a weekly trip to Courmayeur, usually on a Wednesday. I think it's quite possible that there will be more this year since it's included on the season pass now - but as far as I know there has been no official announcement yet. You could try calling them....
Otehrwise the regular transfer companies like A-T-S might be worth a try?

As I remember there is a service that runs twice a day from the main Courmayeur bus station. You may find a link or time table on this site:

GixerGirl,

There are regular public buses from Courmayeur to Chamonix - I think they may even be more frequent than twice daily, or they were. When I was in Courmayeur I took the bus to Cham and back to visit Footworks.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Surely the only real way from Courmayeur to Chamonix is on skis? (ok maybe a bus for the last bit from the end of the Vallee Blanche Toofy Grin )

Nice idea and I thought that too, but unfortunately I have the problem of luggage. Sad

GixerGirl, There's normally public buses running (stop near the helbronner bottom station in La Palud as well). No idea of times but dead cheap. Try the tourist office in Cham or Courmayeur.
