Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I've been bitten by the bug.......

My previous experience of skiing was going on a school ski trip about 10 years ago to Austria for a week and visiting Sheffield Ski village and Xscape about 4 or 5 times since then. About 8 months ago I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to move with my girlfriend from the UK to Zürich in Switzerland. My girlfriend has about the same amount of skiing experience as me so in the summer we decided that due to where we are living, it would be crazy not to try to get back into it. We joined the international Ski club of Zürich which we start in January for a day of lessons every weekend for 4 weeks but having bought some kit, yesterday we decided to get the train to one of the local resorts. We both had the most amazing day and fell strait back into it and spent about 7 hours on the blue runs of Flumserberg (although I'm paying for it today, I feel a bit like I've been run over)
We're going back to the UK on Friday for 2 weeks but I can't wait to get back on the mountain. I think I may have found my calling...............

I look forward to meeting all of you Snowheads,

Matt.

Hello MattM, It's a weird feeling - the hunger to ski - it's an ache. Gets worse as the season approaches.

I've only got 3 and a half days skiing this winter, Chamonix in Feb, so the ache is gonna get worse and worse then somehow I've got to control everything and get the most from three days. How is that possible?

Just looked on the Cham webcam and its chukkin down with snow in the town centre! Aaaaaah.
