Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Stick with Villars. The glacier is pretty boring but some good runs off it. You can do Les Diablerets from Villars by skiing over and taking short bus transfer.1 hour to ski to the bus from Villars, 20 minute bus ride and then wait in line for cable car. From memory it took around 2 hours to get to glacier top. If you are doing this check timings for busses and lifts back to villars.

Agree with garywilk the glacier is OK but the cable car up to it is miserable. Best to reach via Villars. There's a park there if that's your thing.

Cheers for your thoughts guys. Looking for a decent Swiss resort easily commutable from Geneva Airport. I'll check out Villars.

Iain33, welcome to snowHeads snowHead

IIRC Leysin is on the same liftpass as Les Diablerets??

It all depends on what you mean by "easily commutable". Most Swiss resorts are easily commutable due to their excellent public transport network, however some are shorter transfers than others! Crans Montana, Saas Fee and Zermatt are all reasonably straightforward to get to, albeit a little further than Les Diab.

Thanks...I'm trying to organise a weekend trip for a group of friends and we arrive at different times to Geneva so thought a resort that was easy to get to using public transport would be the best.
