has anyone got a link to piste maps of Chamonix, not the whole valley one but to the individual areas with the lifts and runs named.
Thanks

kitenski, phil625sxc, Thanks but not what I am after, I am looking for something that names all the runs. An online version of the small piste maps available at the lift stations.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I hope you find something, jbob. All you seem to get is this interactive crap that is not practically usable, or that map of the whole valley that is even less useful. Why is it that simple, printable piste maps have gotton so hard to find?

jbob, try harder
eg from that link I gave you click le tour, it opens up a zoomed in map of le tour.
Now at the top, click Pistes, then if you hover over each piste it gives you the name and loads more info.
Does that do what you want?
regards,
greg

yep, same with mine - click on pistes at the top then move your mouse over the runs and they will highlight and some info, including the name of the run, will pop up on the top right - works for me !

jbob, I think it's because they now tend to give out booklets with all of them in, and smaller. I have them all here, and keep meaning to scan them in and put them up on my site because I think a lot of people want them. Chamonet have good info, but they link to the CMB ones as well. I'll try find them, and get around to it this weekend. Will post back here if I have any luck!

Thanks firebug. Its interesting looking back at the 17 yo piste maps, Chamonix are sometimes criticized for lack of investment but when you look over a longer period it looks like quite a lot. Le Tour has doubled in size through the opening of 4 new lifts. The Brevent-Flegere link wasnt there plus no Floria lift. Thats not even looking at the upgrades. Combe Lachenal was off piste.
