I think these outtakes are done by the Teton Gravity lads based in the Rockies. The last one is a well known spot in Wyoming that they had been looking to get someone to try for seven or so years. If I recall correctly, Jamie is a commited Christian who belives that "God will protect him". Jamie's only injury was his pride as he fluffed the landing and went head into the snow

oh my dear god ... one thing it shows is the amazing breaking potential of snow. It manages to reduce speed alongside extreme cushioning. I'm amazed that the impact forces can get dissipated externally and not cause severe internal bodily injury.... WOW

Perhaps they should have some skydiving training before attempting this stuff, at least then they might have an idea how to fall properly.

Kind of a game of who can fall of a cliff the furthest and not die

You know it makes sense.

A short clip doesn't really capture what these guys do - they may spend weeks or even years monitoring a spot till they feel its manageable to do. They then probe the landing area extensively and have safety crew standing by. Of course they are still slightly unhinged but you could say the same about many downhillers etc.
