Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Not sure I understand the question - are you looking to ski or snowboard, what level? At the higher levels you may find the higher qualified instructors are working on Instructor coaching for the likes of nonstopski but there are plenty of ripping guys and gals in the ski school. At beginner levels you should find that they are all trained to a common methodology.

There is only the one ski & snowboard school as in most N American resorts.

sorry....should have given more info....

i'm skiing - can get down most things with varying degrees of style and grace! :> looking to do some lessons improving my ability to ski the fluffy stuff and anything else the hill throws at me.

my other half is boarding, and looking for pretty much the same stuff....

looking on the fernie web site, i can only find the one ski school. a web search pulls up a variety of instructor courses, such as nonstopski and while i'd love to, i'm not there long enough to take advantage.

the local ski school there looks like it will do the job, i'm just curious if there are any others or any recommended ones.

seem to remember whistler having a couple of different ski/snowboard schools - but it is a tad bigger! :>

thanks for any hints....

darren.

reality, Hey it's north america the land of the free market - you only get one ski school. I suspect RCR own the ski hill, lifts, snow, ski school, accommodation, cafes, etc

Having said that it's a very very nice ski / boarding school. The likes of nonstopski use the local ski school instructors. I can recommend one individual instructor, local and very good, but probably contracted out to nonstopski. If interested drop me a PM as I don't like naming people in public without permission.

Best of luck

reality, For Ski Instructor try Christian Leheay?(sp) He's a grade 3 or probably a grade 4 by now, would have passed the grade 4 but got injured. Great Instructor, Fernie local, works as a Carpenter during the Summer, just in case I've got his surname wrong.
