Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hotel / Apartment for all male group in Morzine / Les Gets

 Poster: A snowHead

Was rather hoping to go with Mrs SM to Serre Chevalier during December - had to cancel Sad

However - just booked flights to GVA for me and some friends from work to go 10th Jan for a long weekend Very Happy

We need a nice but cheap hotel / apartment / chalet in Morzine / Les Gets, can share twin bed rooms, prefer town centre with GVA transfers if poss (we'll rent a car if not)

Any suggestions please? Places you've stayed before / recommend?

We're very civilised, btw!

Thanks!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I've stayed at the Sporting Hotel a couple of times for short breaks. Simply dropped them an e mail. It's about 5 minutes walk from the town centre and warm and comfortable. Run by a family. They have a discount agreement with Felix Ski nearby for rental, the shop is ski in/out if there is enough snow (assume this is still the case not been for 2 years), saves lugging your gear about. Evening meal looks good there but we always go out.

We always hire a car from swiss side GVA, drive is easy and costs about the same as the transport options with no waiting about.

Bus to the Avoriaz cable car stops right outside.

It's a great short trip option.

Stayed at the ridge hotel last year, cheap, clean and modern rooms, free wifi, great bar and just about walking distance to the town or shuttlebus stops outside. We stayed just out of season however when virtually empty so I can't say how civilsed it is full! http://www.morzinelets.com/hotel/overview.asp?HotelID=2

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

See you there! We're on a long weekend 9-13 in Morzine - we're in Chalet Ferme D'Elise, ticks the long weekend box but definatley NOT the cheap option!
