OK, so haven't updated this in a while, mostly because of the amount of intense skiing I was doing, I managed to get out with a guide, which my uncle organised when he came out for a cheeky weekend (Luc with the ESF, been in Tignes all his life, knew the place better than anyone I reckon) We skiied some seriously fun routes, the sache valley, the bottom half of the freeride world cup slope and one of the tufs couloirs (obviously not reccomended without a guide!) was probably the best day skiing of the season! then the next morning, rode the park, and now I appear to have a badly sprained foot, Im currently in my bedroom in leeds, just spoken to the doctor, he said 3 weeks to a month rest. so naturally, I am flying back to france tomorrow morning, and will rest my feet in a more relaxing atmosphere, hopeflly speed up the recovery...
anyway im sure john will update at somepoint soon, though he is in westendorf sponging off his dad and eating decent food at the moment...

arby16, Well for £3000 you can get your own place (1 room with bed, chair, small table, sink and portable oven/hob thing and a seperate bathroom) or I have a 2 bedroom place which I share permanantly with 5 others and have guests occasionaly to help pay the bills! You ideally want to get yourself a part time job, local taxpayers get their lift pass for around half the price, and working 2 days a week would help you appreciate the days you ski! Skiman jobs are going around at the mo, get yourself some work experience at a ski shop beforehand and it will make life alot easier!
Spikyhedgehog, HAAPPPYYY BIRTHDAYYYY!!!

arby16, I'd get a driving job if you can find one and that's the sort of thing you think you might enjoy. Airport transfers are a doddle.

stewart woodward, Just had a call from our landlord (r should it be landlordess?) about the noise! I do hope we didn't disturb you tonight, as you can probably guess, Spikyhedgehogs birthday led to a few too many beers before everyone went out and it got a little loud!
nbt, lucky you! Wish I could find a year long let in Whistler for the same kind of money!!!

stewart woodward, the police didn't come, just someone said if we didn't stop being loud, then they would call the police, so we shut up instantly, didn't even realise how loud we were being!

£3,000 for your own place, that would probably be suitable for 2.
For the record our place is £10,000 between 6 for the season, with an extra £2,000 refundable deposit.

OK so been a few days now, had a stomach bug going round so a few of us were quite ill, though some people say my stupidly big night out to see a good friends band from leeds 'Gentlemans Pistols' was the reason I was feeling sick for 3 days. (I don't remember much of the night, though people assure me I did have a really good time!!)
We are having lotssss of snow, didn't go skiing today as i wasn't feeling so good, but tomorrow is looking like it should be a great day, expecting sunshine and fresh tracks all morning, then a big photo session with some other skibums later in the day!
Will update you with pictures if we end up with any good ones!

We Skiied this morning, Had an hour or so clear blue skies then the clouds rolled in higher up, the skiing was still fantastic, powder was amazing in the right spots! We managed until now before the vis got a bit annoying and we got hungry so came home for some lunch and to see if the weather clears up.

I guess that this will be my last post of the season, I leave for England tomorrow and start planning where I want to go next season the exact second I get home.
It's been an amazing season, never had any worry about the snow, It's still falling now (which annoys me, as I am going home! )
I've learnt alot this season, mainly, that I STILL can't handle my drink at all.
summing up this season for me is hard, as I had alot of stops and starts through it, stomach bugs, injured foot put me out for about 3 weeks, now over the last week I have had tonsilitus!
the only thing I know is that every second I spent skiing was fantastic, hopefully get back to Tignes next season even if only for a holiday.
stewart woodward, Thanks for everything you and Mrs Woodward have done for us! I just hope the amount of pork pies I managed to source for you was adequate!

It does indeed get extremely hot in Dubai!
I was there last September and it was averaging 45 degrees celcius! But i love it! June - Sep is off season in dubai, its too hot, so the locals desert the place and holiday somewhere cooler!
Get yourself to the snowdome, its a nice big fridge if you need relief from the heat!
