Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Tignes / Chambery question

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi,
Thinking about booking a self catering in Tignes with some mates who are driving - I need to fly due to the logistics but does anyone know how easy/difficult it is to get to Tignes from Chambery? Taxi? what? why? how? etc......

Thanks Madeye-Smiley

Taxi would be around £150.
Chambery may be the closest, but it might be easier/cheaper to get from Geneva or Lyons

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

You could take a taxi from the airport across town to Chambery train station, then a slow train to Bourg St Maurice and bus up to Tignes.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

If you are going at the same time as a charterr flight you may be able to buy a seat on a coach , don't know if they still allow it though.

I'd agree with the private transfer job. I've used Transfer Intelligence before.

In fact I'm doing it this year too; Chambery/Tignes return. Need a lift snowHead

Honda Kitty, if it's a weekend, ring some tour ops. They will sell you a seat on the transfer coach there and back, though you might have to wait around a bit if your flight isn't at the same time as theirs. Or alternatively, you could book both flight and transfer from them.
