Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

151 skiers evacuated by helicopter in Grindelwald

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
At 10h40 a defective hydraulic on a chair lift in Grindelwald trapped 151 skiers on the opening day. The decision was taken to evacuate the skiers by helicopter. The operation started at 12h30 and used two helicopters from the REGA and 6 rescuer workers from the CAS (Swiss Alpine Club). It lasted a little over an hour...

Kathrin Nageli, a spokeswoman for the lift company said the skiers took it with good humour, especially as it was one of the best opening days the resort has seen. The skiers were given a meal and a free day's ski pass. [plus a free helicopter flight - Ed.]

Thinking about it. The man on the winch cannot sit beside you if the chair is full so he has to get you to put the harness around you and then persuade you to slip Shocked of your seat and then repeat this 3 more times or get all 4 harnesses on and get all 4 to go of at once.

Either way sounds terrifying Shocked

....but maybe save on the ski equipment surcharge, since you'd be technically wearing everything rather than carrying it.... Madeye-Smiley
