Poster: A snowHead

I acquired a rather silly pair of skis yesterday which arrived with Rossi Race 120s. Anyone know how you make large adjustments of these? The available adjustment with the two screws in the heel "arms" isn't enough - I'll need to move the bindings along the plates.

David Murdoch,
You need to unscrew the front & back bindings and relocate them to suit your boot sole length. The plates are already drilled to accept different boot sizes.
I would recommend you take them to a good ski shop to get the adjustments carried out. Once the adjustments have been carried out the screws need to be retightened with an electric screw driver.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

stewart woodward, that's what I thought. OK, I'll get someone who knows what they're doing to move 'em. Cheers.

parlor, you'd like the length but probably not the width...Rossi WC GS 190cm. Hardly used. Bargain at €120. In one of the local ski sales but marked up as 200cm DH - so I reckoned they'd be perfect for the Inferno. To be honest, 190cm GS is possibly even better. Still need a powder ski tho'...

David Murdoch, I've got a new powder ski that would match your catsuit. Photos to follow.

How's about some classic Atomic Powder Plus. 180cm (a little short) but a healthy 130mm - 115mm - 120mm. Purple and pink. So hot right now.

Rossfra8, I thank you. A little reminder of David's suit. I think they would go very well together.
David Murdoch, I'm keeping these skis, gonna drive my truck over them and put some reverse camber in them. If you find a new suit, can I have the old one? I'm 6'1", will it be short?

David Murdoch, it's clear to me those bindings are never going to adjust to fit your little feet; and I know you don't want to redrill them. There's only one thing for it!!!
(ps, you already have some silly skis)

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

zzz, you can't have too many silly skis...and this si the joy of plate/binding systems. I just need to find someone who knows how to adjust them. I understand there's a Morzine ski sale on at some point? You, too, might find a fine pair of silly skis!
Why, however, am I collecting a quiver of FIS race skis when I really want a pair for powder?
parlor, possibly a little short. Great pair of skis though. You'll break them if you try and rocker them ...

It's been done a few times. rungsp drive a car over his pair (matching colours, we're gonna look great on the hill this winter.). I've now decided to take them in the Sauna with me, cook 'em up a while and then clamp some 2x1 to rocker tips and tails.
They only cost me £40, thanks to UG. So it's no big deal, they might delaminate a little, but nothing a little epoxy couldn't fix.
