Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi Guys

Well it's almost that time again. Toofy Grin

Just wondering if anyone here has been to Are in Sweden, if so how was it, any advice etc?

Thanks

I went to åre back in 1995 for 10 days.

I stayed at Hotel Renen in Duved (which is a slightly smaller resort linked by ski bus to Are). Great place fully self contained with kitchen and massive reception / lounge rooms. Had a sauna in every apartment. Best way to get there is by overnight train from Stockholm. There is a train station in the resort.

The resort is great, fantastic facilities, great snow, loads of long wide tree lined runs. Heaps of black runs. Great looking girls and guys. Crazy apres ski (you have to take your boots off and leave them outside with everyonelses boots and dance around on tables / the bar in your socks) - the Mooservirt is nothing compared to some of the onpiste pubs we went to. I would really recommend it. I can't quite remember any of the names of the runs, but one run in particular was through a narrow ravine and it was rather spectacular (although probably a bit of an avalanche risk). It was creatively named "Ravinen".

Loved it. Toofy Grin
