Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Edinburgh Area Snowboard Shops

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
My partner won a board during his first weeks snowboarding. It was a very cheap board but has done two seasons very well. However the bottom of the board is now starting to delaminate. Can't complain since it was free.
But he now wants (needs) a new board. We're heading out to Canada just after Christmas so we need the board by then.
I know from experience that Jasper in Canada isn't cheap for boards (especially with the current exchange rate) and we won't have the chance to shop anywhere else whilst we're there and anyway, we want to board not shop!

So does anyone know where in the Edinburgh area we can start looking for a board for him? Any recommendations or warning of where not to go.

We used to get our boarding stuff from a shop in Dundee, but that's no longer there.

Thanks

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

There is a place in Dundee called Wintershack near the Asda at the bottom of the Kingsway. They also have an eBay presence - do a search on eBay for a member called "Wintershack" to see what they have in stock.

I also think Craigdon Mountain Sports in Perth sell snowboards and Summits in Dunfermline.

"wintershack" have changed their name on ebay to "ski and board discount warehouse". I've used them a few times, never any problems.
