Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Kitzbuhel & Gosau open soon?

Hi,

Myself and my girlfriend will be heading to Kitzbuhel on the 22nd of November for a couple of days and then on to Gosau until the 27th.
Anybody know if these resorts will be open for a bit of skiing while we're there?

I've had a look at their sites but they're not saying. I read here that a couple of resorts are opening sooner than expected.

Very very excited, thinking that I might get a few turns in...Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Kitzbuhel was open this weekend just gone (limited area) saturday & Sunday.
One would guess that if the conditions remain they may well open every weekend

dingdong, Ski Amade, Schladming and Zauchensee will definatley be open and they are on the same lift pass. I dont know about Gosau though - nice place - nearly bought a house there! Very Happy

flangesax, Cool.. We'll have a car so we can travel to where there's an open piste.. We have a couple of appointments to keep over the weekend but they're late in the day so we might be alright if can find somewhere fairly central.. Got to maximise the ski time!..

Sage, Thanks... I had a look on the site earlier today and missed that. We are heading out on the 22nd and back on the 27th so hopefully there'll be some piste open during the week days as well as the weekend..

dingdong, thought you might like to know - Gosau is opening this weekend as well as other lifts in Dachstein West. HAve fun. Very Happy

flangesax, Is Schladming open during the week now too? I had a look at the web came and I'm nearly positive I saw people zipping down the slopes...
