Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Season-setting gigs in Ischgl and St Anton

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Austrian resort Ischgl has set a tradition for opening and closing its ski seasons with significant live music. On 27 November The Corrs will play, supported by Right Said Fred...
...and in St Anton, the famous Mooservirt bar (just across from the Krazy Kanguruh) will shake to their 'Apres Ski Hits 2005' festival from 17-19 December.

More details from Mark Frary in today's The Times.

The Corrs and Right Said Fred!!!
Come on: surely not the right bands to start the season off.
How about the Mogul Sisters and Snow Patrol?

Yeah right ! Ischgl set the trend here a few years back getting big name acts like Rod Stewart, Elton John , Diana Ross,Tina Turner, blah blah blah . Ischgl can afford to pay these acts as the resor is a totally private resort . St Anton can only afford to pay acts like Manhatten Transfer > I know , laugh but its becuase 50%+ of revenues goes to the Tirol goverment .
As for Right Said Fred , they are HUGE in Germany , so good luck to them . I bet David Hasellhof couldnt believe his luck when the germans bought his crap in the millions !!!!!!

Howroyds, I reckon you'd all have lots of fun there, even if you get there after Right Said Fred have destroyed the mountain (remember the song?).

Another good Austrian resort for a bit of challenge and variety is Schladming, if you've never been there.

Ischgl is party town, mostly for Germans and Dutch, not featured by many British TOs.

Howroyds,
Ischgl has a great ski area suitable for most standards good sized reliable snow etc. Cannot vouch for the nightlife as we stayed in Galtur, much more family orientated.

The Scandinavians have long term clients of Ischgl .
Great resort, superb lift system but IMHO have put to many lifts in reducing the amount of off-piste . Fantastic Apres Ski, Nightlife,State of the Art Hotels with Pools & Spas. If you get the Silvretta SkiPass you can ski Kappl,Galtur & See which now has one of the steeepest pistes in Austria. Enjoy !
