Been skiing and skinning for a couple of hours today under la Combe chair. Snow was deep and a little heavy, but really nice to be skiing on 15th November!

rayscoops, The lifts have been open for a while for non-skiers (or non-relatives of lifties skiers anyway). The lifts for skiers are starting with lac des vaux on Saturday as Bryan said.
Officially, OTH, I think the resort opens on the 8th December.

Many of the Swiss resorts have brought their opening forward to this weekend. Look out for announcements on the resort websites on Friday as some of them are waiting until then to say how many lifts/pistes will open.
