Poster: A snowHead

Well.. checking on the austrian resorts and Garmisch it looks like wednesday-sunday will be snowy for most of the alp region. Garmisch should get a nice dumping along with the other austrian resorts!

I dont think it will be a huge dump - probably just litte to moderate snowfall.
HOWEVER, temps are looking as though they are staying low which is great news. Snow cannons on full blast i imagine and any snow that does fall has a good chance of surviving too

boredsurfin, 3 and a half flakes, if you're lucky
Swiss/Austrian border is the place to be, preferably with northern exposure. Doesn't look like anything that heavy but it should mount up to a reasonable amount there over a few days.

Looking a bit grim isn't it? It was 9th November last year there was the first large snowfall in the area. Looks like later than that this year.

gwaelod, grim as in we'll need to put on an extra woolly jumper? Or grim as if anything that happens a few days earlier or later than last year is going to have any predictable impact on the ski season? Which it is not.

I cant remember anything more than a light dusting on the peaks in early nov last year! Which soon disappeared.
