Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I'd like to go somewhere, probably in January, but I'm flexible.

I'd like to do a specialist course of some type. I started looking at the usual (ski instructor courses) but they are probably too long and I really would only being doing it to say I'd done it, not as a means to find a job. So, I'm thinking a short (1 week, possibly 2 week) training course. I don't want "ski school" - I did that a year back and didn't actually learn anything, although it was good fun.

My ability: I've been skiing for around 15 years, had lessons in the UK, and the odd private lesson in the Alps. I'm confident on most runs, but as the terrain gets harder I'm less able to get as many "style points". Most of my skiing has been on piste. I'm fit (for my age).

I'm thinking a specialist course like moguls, or off-piste or something similar but again would be interest to know what others have done. I guess I just want to do something which I come back from and can say I've moved my technique on. Anyone any advice or experience of doing the same?

One more thing, I don't mind putting this together, but would appreciate advice on travel, accomodation, transfers etc.

errmmm.....care to narrow it down a bit? Maybe to a preferred country or destination?

Off piste tuition is available almost everywhere, and there will be any number of people who can recommend guides in specific resorts on here....you could do worse than going somewhere in the Tarentaise and book some time with Alpine Experience in Val d'Isere, for example

Not worried. I've skied in lots of countries. No real preference - more interested in the options available and whether anyone has done something they'd recommend.
