I know nobody cares except me, but I'm so pleased with my new boots that I thought I'd shout about them!
Spent a good 2 1/2 hrs with Jimmy and Michelle at Profeet (leamington is a bit of schlep for me and with my car whether I would arrive or not would be a bit of a gamble ...) and now have some hideous looking, but great fitting Fischer boots to replace my old Heads.
Hurrah, hurrah. That means that I can get my new skis (one their way from kiwi1) mounted as soon as I get them.

zammo, You crow about them all you like - I did when I got mine. I hope they are really wonderful and you get loads of great skiing in them. When you get your skis post us a picture of both we like pictures

Boots are white and hideous orange. I did ask if I could get green ones to match my skis but they had run out. Shame!
Obviously I have chosen them purely on technical spec and what they look like ...

zammo, Oh, big mistake, the Green ones are far more comfortable than the orange ones.

Does any one really notice this sort of thing on the piste? Who cares about the colour?
And if you had boots that matched your skies, then you'd have a real problem if you had to get new skis.

zammo, My boots are orange and I ski the Nomads. In a weird way the colors work. If not then you're going for the "I'm too good to worry about my kit matching and don't want to look like a pansy" look.

Jonpim, of course colour of no consequence, but asking did get me a laugh from the fitters ....
Christmas and NY in Switzerland, then a stag back in the same spot in Jan, a long weekend to Ski Amade in Feb, then a week in Breckenridge in March. I was in the mountains for 20 nights last season and only managed 1 day's skiing so I'm trying to make up for last year!

JT, no snow, then got injured. In 22 yrs of skiing, it's my first major injury, so I guess I musn't complain.

s that red is definitely quicker than any other colour. I know this because I beat a Medrcedes SLK off the lights yesterday in my 1973 MGB GT ..... which is red.
