Poster: A snowHead
|
Thanks to some very kind people on an earlier thread, I'm now looking at Keystone as a possibility for myself, my wife and our two young children.
Looking at last two weeks of March - appreciate there are no guarantees but has anyone skiied there at that time before and if so was the snow good or slushy?
Also, other suggestions for that time of year nearish to Denver would be appreciated (with good snow the key factor)
cheers

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

This year it was generally good. Had a tendency to be slushy lower down towards the end of the day, but then the temperature was in the 50s. I don't think you'll have any problems.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I skied in Keystone in The end of March and the beginning of April last winter (2007). Most of the time it was great fun - there were several combinations of snow at night and a subsequent sunny day. The bottom slopes were indeed a little slushy, esp. at the end of the day, but this did not matter much.

My pleasure.
There's one ski school with two bases - River Run and Mountain House.
Mountain House is less of a zoo.
Any other questions, ask here or PM me.
