In the US, Kennecott Land is considering a ski resort in the Oquirrh Mountains on the west side of Salt Lake County.
Last week, Salt Lake County leaders joined the vice president of long-range planning of Kennecott Land at the site of the proposed ski resort, 18 miles from Salt Lake City International Airport. The north-facing peaks had fresh patches of snow. The resort would be the first in the Oquirrh Mountains, and would rise from a base elevation of 6,200 feet to 9,350 feet.
